Very Berry Breakfast Smoothie
Who doesn't love a smoothie? I love how simple they are to make, how they fill me up and leave me feeling nourished...a super easy way to get the morning off to a good start. Here is one of my breakfast smoothies:
1 cup almond milk
1/2 banana
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries or strawberries
2 T. vegan protein powder (currently I am using Sunwarrior)
2 T. ground flaxseed meal
Blend until creamy and smooth. Enjoy!
I like to once a week fill a quart size ziplock bag with banana's that are broken in half. Then they are ready to go for smoothies and I don't have to worry about having a bunch of banana's ripen all at once.
